Whole30: Day 5, 6,7,&8

Hello Friends,

Again, I'm sorry I have not updated you. My husband is home Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from work and is usually pretty demanding on my time.

Friday was a good day, I felt really good all day, I worked out, weights and jog/walk intervals. I had the same thing I have been having all week for breakfast, leftovers for lunch, and ham with pineapple, sweet potatoes and carrots for dinner.

Saturday I felt terrific! I was able to work out again. I made sweet potato hash, scrambled eggs, sauteed spinach and Canadian bacon for breakfast. For lunch I had leftovers. For dinner I made this curry, only I used green beans instead of peas. Also, I added carrots and parsnips.

Sunday was also a pretty good day, I did not have time to work out as it was a meal prep day. Also the child decided not to have any naps that day, which means mom was being harassed. Dad can't seem to handle baby even with mom there for reference. For breakfast I made banana pancakes (literally just banana and egg, but so good) and scrambled eggs. For lunch I had leftovers. For dinner we had steaks with potatoes and carrots. I was feeling pretty good all day physically, but I was pretty depressed, by the end of the day I was extremely angry for no reason.

For meal prep I made my husband these egg muffins, which are the same thing I had for breakfast last week, just in muffin form. I also made him the cauliflower rice bowls that I had for lunch last week.

Here is a picture of my kitchen during meal prep.

As you can see, it is no small task.

Today is a school day. I woke up this morning to about a foot of snow outside.

My husband did not have to go to work, which is nice because I was able to leave our bundle of joy with him. For breakfast I made scrambled eggs and this sausage thing, and for lunch I had leftovers. I tried to workout this morning, but in the middle I got an email from my advisor asking to meet before class so I had to stop. Been feeling pretty good today, my mood is much better. I do have a slight headache, and I am very bloated. I am starting to get tired of the food.

My husband has not been fairing as well as I have. He has been going through the 'hangover'. He has been exhausted since Friday, and he is rather testy today. Hopefully his mood and energy improve soon!

I must say, I am super excited to continue this diet after the 30 days. I will probably go 'paleo', but I am really loving the way I feel and all the energy I have. I will reserve judgment till the end though, it is only day six.

Whole30: Day 3 & 4

Hello Friends,

Sorry I didn't update you yesterday on my whole30 experience, my little bundle of joy decided to show her demon side yesterday and I didn't really have time to sit down and write.
However, as far as the diet goes, it was a good day! I had the same things for breakfast and lunch, for dinner, I made this Chicken Ranch bake, which was really good. I forgot to take a picture of it though. :(

I was feeling pretty good yesterday, almost like my old self. I even had the energy to work out!
One symptom which may be a little TMI, is I have been in the bathroom constantly. And I mean constantly. I think I must have gone at least ten times yesterday.

Today I had the same thing for breakfast. For lunch, I had leftovers from dinner the other night. For dinner, I made this sausage sheet pan dinner.

I have been feeling exhausted again today. Rather like a hangover, headache, whole body aches, etc. The child had a horrible night last night for sleeping, so I am unsure if this is due to lack of sleep or whole30, but I did read that today was supposed to be a bad day.

I am craving cheese like crazy.

Anyways, more tomorrow.
